SCREED CONCRETE

The application of screed which is made with machine and which is actually called helicopter screed is generally applied for large and multipurpose areas. The main feature of this screed application is to obtain a homogenous, smooth, flat concrete. In this process, it is also an advantage to provide the desired level and planar scale easily. In practice, the helicopter can be escribed as a propeller driven by a simulated petrol engine, to which steel tails are attached at the end. The reason for the use of the trowel in this way is that the unit is more easily provided with circular motion (machine driven by the operator on the concrete) with more impact and planarity.

The quality of the concrete used in the application is chosen according to the urpose. Screed concrete usually comes to the area with the aid of mixers. Panels are prepared in the field before the application. The scale of the scrapped concrete is fixed to the metal box profilers floor to provide the level. It is advised to apply iron-mesh before application of concrete in order to avoid racking in time. This increases the strength of the shoe in every way. Fiber can also be used to provide concrete reinforcement through the aid of a mixer. When the fiber is still in the mixer, the fibers are mixed thoroughly in the concrete in scale. The concrete poured into the surface area is first distributed using the gauge, the panels are removed and the machine is applied. Surface hardeners are used, depending on the shape of the surface, especially near the surface of the concrete by working partially. Usage is the sprinkling of the surface hardener on the concrete while the helicopter is running, ie running on the concrete. These hardeners have been diversified to increase the resistance against the pressure, load, etc. which the surface will be exposed to.

During the necessary feasibility study, it is decided which of these varieties should be used. For example, quartz and magnetite aggregate surface hardener for floors exposed to light traffic, corundum-quartz and magnetite aggregates for light and medium traffic loads, and corundum-aggregated surface hardener for heavy traffic loads. Again, helicopter screed work, which we can see as a specific application, needs to be done by a proper, professional and professional operator so that the surface hardener can be consumed at an average of 5 kg / m². At the end of all this work, the concrete coming to the desired consistency gains a walkable strength on it. In this phase dehydration, that is, concrete starts to lose water quickly by entering the reaction. This situation causes cracks, which are called antitrace marks, although measures have been taken. Dehydration (rapid water loss) can be solved by applying a curing liquid based on a solvent, which is based on curing on a concrete that has not yet been completely settled. At the end of all these operations, in order to form an artificial path to the cracks, necessary squares are made and the joints are cut. The cut joints are covered with mastic depending on the cutting width.
